Here in the U.S., we wrapped up another Thanksgiving where many spent time with friends and family, giving thanks and eating themselves into a coma.

Here is a little video my brother texted me that will certainly have you rolling, as it did me 🤣🤣🤣

This leads me to my first read to share that makes me go 😂

Keeping with the Thanksgiving theme, growing up, nothing screamed that time of year more than Martha Stewart. Social media was nonexistent then, and Martha had pretty much the entire market on all things holiday cooking.

I came across this post by A Strong Woman Weak which made me realize Martha is still going strong even after jail time and in her 80s. Nothing seems to stop her.

In keeping with the theme, how about Black Friday 🤔

I avoid this day like the plague. Years ago, I worked in retail and was forced to participate. However, now I choose to stay in the safety and comfort of my home while the mayhem around the country ensues.

I found this post by Michael Rhodes informative on the history of what has become one of the year’s biggest shopping days.

Next up is another one that will make you go 🤔

I mistakenly read this one by DJ Hopkins about the overuse of the word amazing right before watching one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies.

Within the first 10 minutes, the word was used at least five times. They proceeded to refer to it at least 10 more times throughout the 90-minute movie — yes, I counted.

I’m telling you, I could not unhear the word. I think DJ will more than agree this only illustrates his point. But don’t just take my word for it; read it for yourself.

This, too, will have you going 🤔

I came across this piece today and can relate to it in many ways because I’ve often felt this way.

But I strongly agree that even though we find ourselves somewhere else sometimes, we are right where we are supposed to be, which Wesley van Peer explains so well here.

Finally, my last pick will have you doing this 🤔 and this 😂

One of my favorite retired writers, David Weldy, wrote a piece about the final adventure he crossed off his bucket list recently.

Spoiler Alert: He went skydiving and recounts the experience in this post.

It’s a reminder we are never too old to face our fears and try new things.

For those of you in the States or who celebrate it — Happy Post-Thanksgiving. For those who ventured out to shop on Black Friday, I hope you got all the goodies you sought without anyone getting hurt.

Happy Reading!

In the meantime, I will keep discovering, keep laughing, and keep the ‘ah-ha’ moments coming. So, Stay tuned for more exciting thoughts next time that will make you go Hmmm 🤔 or LOL 😂.
