Interesting Observations: Part 8
Sharing some interesting findings

In India, I had not seen such red barns. But I like barns. It stirs nostalgia, reminding of rural simplicity, domestic animals, agrarian activities.
I had heard the quote ‘early bird catches the worm’. That day in a vacation in remote parts of California, I woke up early and explored the wilderness in front of the cabin. I saw this robin scratching the ground and grabbing a reward.

The slopes of La Jolla beach are covered with succulent sea figs. There live families of ground squirrels. This cute baby squirrel was standing in the thicket, gazing at the undulating waves of the Pacific Ocean like a philosopher. I got some nice photo opportunities.

Coral trees are African native trees but are planted as ornamental flora in many parts of California. In winter, they bloom lovely red flowers. Hummingbirds like hovering about the flowers. I enjoy gazing at the vibrant flowers.

Great blue heron is the largest heron in the USA. It’s rewarding to spot and photograph them. I have been fortunate to see them a a couple times. This one was at a local marsh wildlife sanctuary.

I hope, you enjoyed the photo essay.
