Abstract

There live families of ground squirrels. This cute baby squirrel was standing in the thicket, gazing at the undulating waves of the Pacific Ocean like a philosopher. In India, I had not seen such red barns. But I like barns. It stirs nostalgia, reminding of rural simplicity, domestic animals, agrarian activities.

I had heard the quote ‘early bird catches the worm’. That day in a vacation in remote parts of California, I woke up early and explored the wilderness in front of the cabin. I saw this robin scratching the ground and grabbing a reward.
