Thrifty Words Theme Challenge #21: Revolution

I apologize, sincerely, for the lateness of this theme challenge. I had a migraine. One of those lay-you-out in the dark with no sound, no motion, no food or water so you won’t puke, complete with weird flashing lights at the top of your vision. One of those.
And here I thought 2021 was supposed to be better. Supposed to be less migraine-inducing. Like, magically delicious, from one moment to the next, all the yuck of 2020 would disappear. That’s how it was advertised, anyway. I feel like a sucker for buying into it. Caveat emptor and all that rot.
You say you got a real solution Well, you know We’d all love to see the plan
The events in the United States the past few weeks have thrown me back into my childhood. I can almost smell the patchouli. I can almost hear the zip zip sound of corduroy bell-bottoms. They sound mud brown. Not really. My bell-bottoms were brown. And corduroy. That’s all.
For this week's theme challenge I’d like you to listen to a song that colored my childhood. Even when I was into punk rock and pop music was anathema to everything I stood for, this song would get me in the feels every time. It still gets my heart pumping when I angry-shout sing along to it. It might seem impossible to angry sing along to the dulcet tones of John Lennon and Paul McCartney but I manage it.
Give it a listen. Read the lyrics. Scroll to the bottom of this story where I’ve included them. Then go write.
Revolution. 50 words. Go!
If you are new to Thrifty Words or if you just need a reminder, here are the submission guidelines
Remember, in order to be considered for the challenge, you need to write exactly fifty words (contractions such as ‘you’ll’ and ‘y’all’ count as one, as do articles ‘a’ and ‘the’ ‘and all 23 auxiliary verbs ‘am’ ‘is’ ‘are’ etc. Hyphenated words count as one word.)
Please use the kicker 50 WORDS and ‘Thrifty Words Challenge #21: Revolution’ as your subtitle and submit by 12 pm EST / 5 pm GMT on Saturday, 23 January (you get an extra day because I was extra late). All stories submitted by the deadline will be released the following morning at 6 am EST / 11 am GMT.
A reminder: we will only publish one story per author to the roundup. If you submit more than one story, it is most likely that the first story submitted will be chosen for the roundup. You may submit 50 Word stories outside of the theme challenge anytime. They will be published in the Thrifty Words section but not included in the theme challenge roundup.

Revolution by The Beatles full lyrics:
You say you want a revolution Well, you know We all want to change the world You tell me that it’s evolution Well, you know We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction Don’t you know that you can count me out (in)
Don’t you know it’s gonna be All right? Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right) Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right)
You say you got a real solution Well, you know We’d all love to see the plan You ask me for a contribution Well, you know We’re all doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate All I can tell you is brother you have to wait
Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right) Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right) Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right)
You say you’ll change the constitution Well, you know We’d all love to change your head You tell me it’s the institution Well, you know You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right) Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right) Don’t you know it’s gonna be (all right)
All, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all, all right All right, all right, all right, all right, all right
— Songwriters: Lennon John Winston / Mccartney Paul James
