Insights from Scrub Daddy
What we can learn from an EXTRAordinary sponge

There’s a science behind why Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates still do the dishes, these billionaires understand the happiness and creativity-boosting power of everyday chores. The Creator of the Scrub Daddy tapped into that thinking with his family of cleaning sponges.
The owner of Komfort-Zone is affectionately known as the Soap Queen and the Gadget Girl. Yvonne is the one who introduced me to the Scrub Daddy, her boss had her order a few for the office after hearing about the founder on Shark Tank.
I reached out to Keitha to get her position on the Scrub Daddy here’s what she had to say: “The scrub daddy lasts a lot longer than a regular sponge. Even under the best of circumstances when people diligently squeeze out a sponge (not what happens in our shared work environment), it retains bacteria and gets smelly. A scrub daddy stays fresher longer.”
After watching the Shark Tank clip and using the product I started to see myself as the human version of that product. For starters I absorb information and share it with others, I think people become toxic for a variety of reasons they take in information from past hurts and never deal with the trauma, as a result, those internal toxins spill over into interpersonal relationships at home and work. I noticed a change in my relationships and peace of mind when I started releasing past hurt, forgiving, running, reading, and writing.
My fascination with sponges comes on the heels of being asked what my superpower was, I was torn between a sponge and a chameleon. The Scrub Daddy encapsulates the attributes of both.

Success Doesn’t Occur Overnight
The founder didn’t just miraculously rise to success. no, he’s been producing products for over 20 years.
Forgive Early and Often
I rinse quickly = I forgive early and often as a result I stay fresh and clean. Forgiveness is not for the offending party, be selfish and forgive. Forgiveness is for your own healing.
Do The Internal Work
I resist stains = Because of the internal work that I do on a daily basis it steels my armor making it impermeable to stains and attempts to assignation my character. I am certified scratch-free: I am not responsible for how people feel about me nor do I care.
Don’t Learn To Impress Share for Impact
I absorb information for the sake of pouring it into the lives of those I come in contact with on a daily basis. Learning for the sake of learning, auto in audio. Living a life without giving back will result in a clog in the system it’s not allowing information to circulate you’re not just a container.
Remain Flexible And Adapt to Your Environment
I cultivate ideas relationships resources for the benefit. of other people. I am flexible by nature and adapt to both hot and cold situations. It is easy to lead in good times when sales are high and everything is going fine character is revealed through trying circumstances. I am firm in cold water and become soft in warm water in other words I am adaptable to different environments and circumstances.
