The end goal of Inkitt is to be published. Not just on Inkitt. I mean, a signed contract with a publisher. Where has this been all of my life? With that being said, however, they are very particular about formatting. I mean right down to how many spaces you can have between paragraphs, which incidentally is one. Don’t laugh. I see more than one space between paragraphs all the time as an editor. So believe me, it happens.

How to land a publishing deal via Inkitt

From their website:

You’ll need to be selected for a deal, and here’s how that works. Books on Inkitt are analyzed by an algorithm measuring over 1200 reader behaviors. We’ll analyze those reader patterns and track engagement on your book to determine if it has bestseller potential. If so, we’ll be in contact.

Once you create your Inkitt account and upload your book, you’ve already started the process of getting selected for an Inkitt publishing deal!
