A reflection after going out

I took that walk because I had to press the reset button.

I had to empty the page but my pocket is again full of poems.

Today after a long time, I took a walk, I did that to clear my mind. Some times we writers need to do this to press that reset button, to clear it all, I call it fooling our mind which even when empty starts craving that poem.

Another reason I ventured out was to order grocery, the regular onion and tomato. On seeing me the shop keeper asked me why did you come out, you could have texted us, I didn’t tell him the real reason because when you are a poet you are supposed to carry the tag, you are not supposed to flaunt it. So I lied, I told him I had to cook lunch so I needed vegetables, in real life I am not like this. I plan the menu one day before so that there is no chaos when I am in the kitchen. I could see fresh fenugreek leaves and mangoes too, I had to cross check whether it’s from India when he said yes those priceless vegetables were bought home but our lunch was cup noodles some thing which the shop owner won’t know.

I don’t know what I will cook today but I know this today I went out to feel good but my heart was saddened reason I could see kids in school with mask, a different life looked, a masked life I don’t know how long we will be like this for now I tried to steal the colours from vegetables, for now I tried be happy to see those India Colours.
