In the Plane of Earthly Consciousness
For Aswin & the Element of Our Existence
Consciousness is received in short electric blasts, bursts of images of family members and voices. Secluded in perpetual confusion, infused with joy while familiarizing ourselves with the surroundings of this newfound existence as a soul living in an avatar. Thoughts of existentialism have not yet found its way into the impressionable psyche of the young. The only thoughts are nourishment and comfort. As we begin to grow, questions about the basics of life begin to fill our minds. We either ask those given the task of raising us or keep them to ourselves to write or draw. Every man, woman, or both will be faced with the onset of existentialism, a horrifying, but magnificent way of being catapulted into life’s hardest questions.
Humans have been perplexed about the meaning of such an awareness from the beginning. Our ancestors became orators of creation stories, and myths began to write themselves to give explanations to all the things modern science would come to answer. Powerful kingdoms all over the world established Religions, placing Gods and Demigods at the forefront. Still there were those who knew there were gaps in the explanations, so they conjured up new ones. This movement of curiosity would birth scientists, philosophers, theologians, and anthropologians to study about life’s origins and meanings. Understanding the reason behind the need for anything to exist is choosing to walk through an intricate Labyrinth of perceptions and illusions. We are suspended in this one realm of consciousness, limiting our understanding of the materialization of life.
I came here with the soul of an outsider, a nomad, a truth seeker, a loner, and a learner. My young memories are filled with the horror of having to fall in line with the rest of the people and blindly follow a purpose my essence was already refusing. Your soul knows who you are before you even get a morsel of understanding. Some of us come here wild, challenging the status quo, dragging people out of their conditioning kicking, and screaming. Sometimes, we just drag ourselves violently while others watch. I can talk about existence all day if you let me, but to wrap this up before it turns into a novel. The element of existence is the continuation or an unfoldment of consciousness, like a large blooming flower. This is only part one, where we are packed with questions, but given few answers. I believe most of our questions are answered in the next plane, and in the next phase of existence.
