In the Doghouse
Random Drabble Word Challenge 84
Today’s word is wet.
A Drabble is a short fiction story of exactly 100 words. No more. No less.
“Ain’t nothin' like the smell of a wet dog!” said Hank holdin' his nose.
“Where in the tarnation you been anyways?”
Shep was a young mutt, who liked to scrounge up whatever kind of critters he could find in the woods.
Today he chased a squirrel up a tree, found a possum near the crick, caught a catfish stuck between two rocks, and rustled with a skunk.
“Ain’t no way Ma is lettin’ you in the house tonight,” said Hank lookin’ at Shep.
Shep hung his head and mosied toward the dog house. He knew where he was sleepin’ tonight.
