Brings me temporary peace

Come the day you say we're no longer ok I only hope I would've taken you if only once to paradise

Come the morning you look upon me in that very sad way Perhaps it would've been that day fate decided I could no longer stay

But here we are Every opportunity laid out We could decide to spend time in each other's eye or play our game of building it Just to watch it die

Once we celebrated blue skies on cloudy days Now we just get in each other's way We would fight over whose turn it was to stay Now we chase away sunny days as if they were strays

No one that has ever loved enjoys the bitter taste of goodbye Many would rather spend a lifetime comforted by each other's lies Spending time building it just to watch it die

I have no more tears left to cry I've built my last tribute to goodbye And come tomorrow there is no telling if fate will be just another lie me being the one you watch die

Let my blood run hot let it run cold Eventually age the an unwelcome messenger will inform me Youth is an apple in someone else’s eye So let me be reckless Let me be evil let me be nice Because no one will live twice
