In Quiet, Tender Love

I find my strength again

I didn’t know that peace and quiet could be so liberating, making me feel at one, smiling from up above enjoying every second serenity bestows on me.

With memories, the setting sun the time that passed but one whisper over the ocean bringing to me the moments I have lived through, the wishes I make now and hopes for what can come to pass tomorrow, in a decade, or the next time I blink and greet the stars.

What hides beyond the sea, the ever-flowing mirror showing how holidays used to be making the present feel a wonderful gift from the love? Quiet is now a friend the hurry, dashing, and the constant haste to add more chocolates, to buy treats bake cookies for a week it all settles down, and peace shimmers in between.

All haste and agitation are lifted from souls now dreams can pass touch clouds, come down to wander in each house, where they can perch on shoulders, hear songs, see smiles linked in one spirit of wishing each other happiness with kindness given and received from looks and hugs to share protecting what we hope in one voice that the future hears.

No loud words, no more running greeting the season peacefully, seeing for the first time that being cherished is the greatest gift that Santa left for all of us.
