In My Writing World
Who knows what stories, posts or articles will hit big?

If you’re writing online and want widespread exposure then think of yourself as a miner digging through the earth to find which veins will hit or sifting your pan in a stream like the 49ers of western lore.
Or you’re a farmer planting seeds but not knowing which ones will mature in plants and reach fruition.
That’s what I do — writing blog posts for clients, developing articles here, on NewsBreak, and finishing my 6th co-written novel.
Our novels are like plants in a vineyard that take longer to produce, yet require concentration over a long period of time.
NewsBreak is more like popping popcorn. Some of the kernels explode incredibly and you’re left with a huge bowlful while others remain hard and inedible.
I hadn’t been on NewsBreak much lately but I wrote one article yesterday and, boom! it’s taking off with tens of thousands and thousands of views (reads) in 24 hours which is gratifying.
Now, to write the next one.
I can’t simply write another and expect it to go. But I have to write another to have any chance of going big.
Just like you need to keep writing to find which ones will resonate and echo with shares and reads.
Keep writing just like a miner keeps mining. Or a farmer keeps sowing seeds.
Some will grow and flourish while others may disappoint. But keep pulling from your ideas and you’ll find success.
