In Love From the Sky
She is beautiful. She has the most perfect shape I’ve ever seen. I can’t look at others. My eyes are hypnotized and my sight becomes a kaleidoscope. I am hers because she means the world to me.
I am here next to her. So close and so far at the same time, I am turning around her undecided and unsure. Unable to come closer and each day more anxious of being separated from her. There is not a single day she doesn’t cross my mind. Like a shooting star in the dark, she is the hope in the boredomness of the vacuum.
I am lost in the darkness of the universe. I don’t have any goal but to look at her each day of my life. Even if she is unreachable, I stay in her surrounding constantly attracted by her gaze. She is the only point in the universe where I can cast anchor.
I am a satellite which will never land but eternally turn around his beloved Earth. I admire her valleys and mountains, the deep blue of her oceans, the brightness of her desert of sand and ice.
Earth, I will never be bored of you!
I know I will never be able to touch her and sense the soft contact of her surface, however I am fully satisfied to watch her dance in the space 365 days a year.
I am the dedicated satellite which orbit around a beautiful blue planet. I witness her magnificent forests burning more and more each day. I wonder about these millions of floating colors in the middle of her oceans.
I hope her health will get better one day.
Landsat, the eternal Earth lover.
