In a World of Bots, I Chose to Pay Double for a Human Chat Experience
This happened today and I have to share it with you.
It’s been two days now that I am searching for a specific service, that I was asked of and I wish to offer to a client.
I searched online a lot.
I found a number of services, but only a handful of them actually did what I wanted them to do.
I checked reviews, and even created accounts so that I could check everything and pick the best.
I concluded to two of the at the end.
One of them had a human at the chat. Every question I asked resulted in receiving answers (within 10 minutes). The answers were coming from a human.
The other one had a chat bot, I even tried to get a human person to chat, or at least a number to call in Greece. But NOTHING.
Can you guess which service I got?
The first one! The one where I could find answers to my every question. By another human.
Can you guess which service was the most expensive?
The one with the human of course. And the price was actually double than the other one.
Maybe I would do ok even if I picked the other service. Who knows? But that would mean I should send an email to get questions, which I do not know when would be answered.
So, in this world where bots keep increasing, I am very proud to say out loud.
I CHOSE A HUMAN OVER A BOT!
And one more thing. No bot or AI was used for the writing of this post.

p.s. I have nothing against using technology for doing tasks for us, on the contrary! I am grateful for what we can do! But there are times when you need to make some choices. At such times, please make sure to choose wisely.
