In a word … Fickle
In answer to a prompt

Sherry McGuinn wrote a poem and added in a prompt — fickle — which was taken up by Suzanne V. Tanner who turned it into quite a romp. Recommend both. 😊
In a Word … Fickle
Euphemisms, where for art thou, I need a word that reads … asshole, but I wish not to offend. Perhaps if I looked elsewhere might find one that pretends …
To be flighty and lighthearted with blood dripping from fangs that loves the hereafter but not those they might hang
I want words that pierce armor and cuts hubris to dust That annihilates all cruelty turning hatred to rust
A verb straight for the jugular Like a Pittie to steak, That looks for no quarter And offers no breaks
A four-letter explosion that forces all near To believe in the speaker and listen to hear.
Today, words are quite fickle they tip-toe and prance, They pivot and ponder, forever lost in this dance
What we need is a pronoun with muscles to spare With eyes unforgiving that render and tear.
They needn’t be heartless for love is still here No, just that they’re ruthless in bringing all of us near.
