Sometimes when we look at the stars, it’s hard to hear the soft sound of our voice that is begging to be heard. But it’s in those silent moments with just ourselves and our imagination, that we find the beauty of being truly alive!

It takes one breath and maybe a few seconds before you realize what you were missing this whole time as if waking up to your own life for the first time.

What is a simple definition of poetry?

Poetry is often described as being something beautiful, sacred, and true. But, you see, poetry isn’t just a form of passage from everyday life. Poetry, in fact, encompasses the potential to transcend any situation and tap into the heart of reality. If you ask me what poetry is, my first reaction would be, “I can’t answer that question because I don’t know it.” What I mean is that poetry is something that doesn’t require an answer to find its beauty. It doesn’t need a definition to be accurate and beautiful. You see, poetry has its own innate power and language. All you have to do is follow your instincts, keep your eyes open and be present to the wonder that surrounds you, and everything around you will fall into place. Anyone who has ever written a poem knows what I’m talking about.

You are a writer. You are a poet. The first poem I ever wrote was titled “Someday.” I was in elementary school, and it was very short. The words were beautiful to me, but I can see that the language was not as well-developed as the poems that I write now. The point of this is to say: be proud of your writing, no matter what it is! Your writing makes you who you are and helps you come out of your shell. Don’t be so hard on yourself.

Poetry Doesn’t Require An Answer To Find Its Beauty

There is no simple definition of poetry. We have this conception that poetry is very complex and challenging to understand and that most people just don’t get it. That’s false! Poetry is enjoyable for everyone, even if it wasn’t the case in the past.

Poetry is a form of literature that uses aesthetic and rhythmic qualities of language (such as phonaesthetics, sound symbolism, and metre) to evoke meanings in addition to, or in place of, the prosaic ostensible purpose. In this regard, poetry is a type of nonverbal art. However, unlike other nonverbal art forms (e.g., music), poetry does not communicate primarily through the senses. It does not rely on concrete imagery or sensory (visual, auditory, etc.) and emotional reactions. Therefore, it is more challenging to classify poetry than many other forms of art because it relies less on what the audience can see, hear and feel than on different types of art to communicate specific meanings. Poetry is often used as a form of expression in private moments and in public speaking.

Poetry Is Something That Evokes Meaning Behind The Words

They are generally non-narrative, often evocative, and usually emotional explorations into feelings and thoughts about subjects such as love. Many people enjoy the lyrics of an artist’s songs and novels but do not consider their poetry. However, there is often a link between lyric writing or singing and poetry. For example, songwriters often use the same tools poets use, such as rhyme and rhythm.

I cannot define poetry, but I enjoy it. When a friend asks me to explain why I can only say what it is not: largely the ordering of words into tight grammatical patterns in a way that impacts me emotionally — though most poems have at least some of this. The poet won’t necessarily know why they feel “something” upon reading or hearing something…

I wish I could find a way to transform your opinion of poetry, but I am afraid it cannot be done. What you must understand is the importance of poetry in people’s lives. That is why someone may write or talk about something they don’t remember or know because they simply put into words what they feel. Even though a person doesn’t know what the word “poetry” means, they can still communicate through this medium and show how important it is in their life to both express themselves and connect with others emotionally.
