In the past few days, several fellow writers reached out to me and asked me whether I would know anything about the exact procedure of the Medium Writer’s Challenge judgment.
What to expect, when it will happen, and so on.
Surprisingly, I came across this tweet by Medium:
Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait longer than expected.
Medium postponed the judging due to the high amount of essays submitted.
Around 10k essays were sent to the Medium Writers Challenge. That’s insane! And only one person per category will win $10k. That’s even more insane, don’t you think?
As Kelly Eden states in her article:
Long waits are painful (…) I can tell you the best thing to do is prepare for the next (challenge).
