When I think back, my journey to releasing and accepting change started as a kid. My dad was in the steel business. I am the oldest child of three. I had a younger brother, Bryan, who tragically passed away from blood clots when he was 29.

And I have a sister, Debra, she is five years younger than me. She’s okay — just kidding… I am very blessed to have her in my life. My dad would come home after a long hard day, sit at the kitchen table and talk about lay-offs, relocating, and firing people. Many times, more than I can count, he would warn my mom (and us by way of proximity) that he may “be next.” Then finally one day, he was. I was a Junior, in high school and he told us “it” was happening. He was being relocated to Canton, Ohio. We lived in a south suburb of Chicago (Palos Heights) and he commuted every day over the border to a steel plant in Gary, Indiana. So we had to move.

I don’t remember crying because by now it was normalized in my nervous system. My parents asked me if I wanted to stay in Illinois and finish high school. They told me I could live with my grandparents, who also lived in Palos Heights. I loved my grandparents very much. They lived in a beautiful golf course community, with a pool, but I wanted to move to Ohio. I was grateful for the choice. Thinking back, honestly, it wasn’t to be with my family (oldest child — lol), but because I wanted to experience change. Our dinner table conversations consisting of so much talk about always moving, or my dad loosing his job, made me release any attachment. The choice for me also considered leaving behind a job at The Gap I wasn’t great at, friends that were “okay,” and a boyfriend I didn’t really like, let alone love. The only thing that mattered to me was that I was going to be captain of the high school dance team — The Rockettes. I loved being on the dance team…

But considering all the factors, I felt the intuitive pull to go.

It was a HELL YES! And so, I moved to Ohio. My first day of school in NW Canton, Ohio at Jackson High School was February, 14th, 1988. I was a bit nervous, but in between classes at my locker, two girls came up to me and asked me if I was new and if I wanted to sit with them at lunch.

To my great fortune, it was only us three girls and the rest were cute boys. These girls also threw the best parties! Through them, I met my first love love, Eddie, who was a hot bad boy. I got a better job that I LOVED at the mall and worked primarily by myself selling jewelry. It was a social connection because the jewelry store was a kiosk in the middle of the mall. I got to know everyone! Oh! And our new house had a POOL!!! Bonus!

When I look back on this experience, I had released any worry about moving and it worked out in my favor — above and beyond!

If you are struggling with change and feeling stuck, use my experience above for inspiration so this portal can be maximized for you too!

I believe so strongly in understanding the importance of Lions Gate and how you can maximize this powerful energy, that I am doing a daily short video this week to share experiences of my world crumbling so it can be rebuilt and my manifestations can be actualized.

Yes, often your world may be crumbling first and no one really talks about this.

So….my advice to you today is, watch my videos this week on IG or LI (links below) and think about what you can release. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF LION’S GATE!!!
