Imperfect Vessels
Light shines from within
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
— 2 Corinthians 4:7
We are imperfect vessels. We can try to look perfect on the outside, but there will always be cracks.
So how do we make peace with this?
The hope for the Christian is that the light of Christ in us shines through the darkness.
We allow God to use us, so he can shine His love & light into the world.
God chooses to manifest His light in and through our imperfect bodies. He chooses to dwell in the hearts of believers. What a privilege!
We are being transformed into the same image as God from glory to glory.
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
The light within these earthen vessels brings glory to God.
