Imagine You Receive A Surprise Package Today: It Is Sent To You By Your Future Self

In this creative exercise, you imagine that you receive a surprise package from your postman today. You cannot believe your eyes when you realize that this package is sent to you by your future self.

Please respond to the following questions in writing (and in this way, you will be creating your own story):

1. Look at the contact details of your future self. Is this address familiar to you? Is it the same address as your current residence or somewhere else?
2. Open the package now — you are really curious: What does this package contain? Describe its contents. How do you react when you open it? How do you make sense of the contents of this package?
3. You realize that there is a letter in the box. It is addressed to you. You open it to read what your future self tells you. Please write this letter now.
4. While you are writing your letter, think about the reasons why your future self might have sent this package and this letter to you. Does your future self send you a pack of delightful surprises? Does your future self warn you against some imminent dangers you might face? Why has your future self contacted you in this manner?
5. Imagine that you can respond to your future self. Due to the shipping costs associated with time travel, you can only write an A4 letter and send it. How would you respond? Please write down your response letter now.
