What happens after we die? For centuries, humans have been obsessed with this question. World religions and philosophers have all attempted to address this question.

In this imagination experiment, you will imagine that you have seen the afterlife, and you have come back.

Even if you are a materialist person, you will benefit from reflecting on or speculating about what happens after death. Think of this as an exercise in imagination.

If you are a spiritual or religious person, this subject is already very important for you, so the exercises provided below will help you deepen your spiritual reflections.

In this imagination experiment, you will imagine that you have seen the afterlife, and you have come back. Please respond to the following prompts:

  1. Do you believe in an afterlife? Why or why not? Reflect on the implications of your response to this question. How does this affect your life?
  2. Imagine that you have an opportunity to visit the afterlife and come back. Would you like to take such an opportunity to go on such a visit? Explain why or why not.
