Imagine that you could trade lives with anyone for a week. Respond to the following prompts:

  1. Choose the top 5 people that you would like to trade lives with. Why have you chosen these five people?
  2. Write a story where you trade lives with one of these five people. How does your week go? How do you feel in their body and role? What is most surprising about this person? What happens next?
  3. Write a second story where everything goes wrong and it feels like you are trapped in a horror movie or a tragedy. What happens during this week?
  4. Write a third story, an adventure story, where you experience a life of unimaginable luxury and indulgence. However, there is a danger that is looming. How do you deal with this threat?
  5. In your fourth story, your partner understands that you are a fake version and not their real partner. They want to expose you as a fraud. Fraud is a serious offense and you might get in trouble for it. What happens next?
  6. In your fifth story, you experience the life of a very rich and complex individual, such as Elon Musk, or someone else you view as a role model. Describe this life and what lessons you learn from this person’s life in one week.
  7. List the top 5 benefits of living another life. Why is it such a rewarding experience? Write down the top 5 things you have learned as a result of experiencing these five different lives.
  8. There is an app that allows you to live the life of a stranger for 20 days. How would you use this app? How would you develop a deeper understanding and empathy for people you have difficulties in understanding?
  9. Imagine 10 different lives that would be fun to experience, and each life will last for a week. Think of this experience as a 10-week sabbatical where you can experience 10 different professions or lifestyles. Make your list now.
  10. By now, you have probably understood how lucky you are because you are living your own life:) What are the top 7 things that you love about yourself and your life? What are the top 10 things that you are grateful for in your life? Make a list.
  11. Building on the insights above, think of 10 original ways to improve the quality of your life. How would you like to change your life? How can you go forward?
