Imagine You Can Stop Time Right Now
What would you do?
Imagine that you have this superpower to stop time when you want. However, you can use this power only three times, so you need to choose wisely.
You know that this is impossible, but please assume that you can still move when time stops.
Please respond to the following questions:
- Would you like to use your power to stop time? When would you first use it? Why?
- Think of three instances now: When would you like to stop time? On which occasions? Why?
- Let’s say you have stopped time. What would you do? How does stopping time give you leverage or a competitive advantage? How would you spot and use opportunities ethically?
- Let’s say you have stopped time. You now have all the time in the world and you can spend it as you wish, without worrying about catching up with anything. Think of 500 hours of activities you could do as a start. What are these activities? Why have you chosen these activities? Why do they matter?
- Let’s say you have stopped time. You want to be super-rich. How do you use this opportunity to get rich? Remember that you need be ethical, create solutions, and solve problems for other people.
- Let’s say you have stopped time. You want to be super-knowledgeable. How do you use this opportunity to multiply your knowledge? Choose the first 200 books you want to read when you stop time. You can increase the number if you have a hard time deciding which books you want to read.
- Let’s say you have stopped time. You want to visit different places around the world when there is full silence and solitude. Where would you like to visit? Think of 30 destinations to explore and go to. You can increase the number if you have a hard time deciding which destinations, cities, or places you want to visit.
- Let’s say you have stopped time. You have all the time in the world to do the things that you love (your hobbies, passions, curiosities, art, creativity, sports, games, etc.) Think of the first 100 hours of these activities. After you do these, what is next?
- What did you learn from this exercise? How can you steal some of the benefits of stopping time in the fabric of your daily life?
