Imagine You Can Clone Yourself
In this blog, you will imagine that you can clone yourself. Please respond to the following questions:
- Would you use this superpower and clone yourself? Why? What would be the benefits or opportunities? What would be the threats?
- Let’s imagine that you have cloned yourself. This clone looks exactly like you and has the same genetic predispositions as you do. What happens next? Write down your story.
- Imagine the conversation that you would have with your clone when you first see him or her. Write it down.
- Imagine that you make a deal or a partnership with your clone. You will provide him or her all that they need. Your clone will act as your assistant. However, there are some unexpected challenges. Write a story on these challenges and how you address them.
- Your clone can also represent you whenever you need to be in multiple places. You can send your clone as your representative. However, this arrangement also leads to some risks and complications. What are these risks? How do you address them? Write down your story.
- What happens if your clone wants to make his or her own choices as an independent individual? What if your clone wants to break free? Write down a story with this theme.
- Let’s say you provide your clone a lot of opportunities to grow and thrive. So, your clone ends up taking more risks and having more adventures than you. Your clone also surpasses you in his or her entrepreneurial/artistic journey. You become jealous and bitter. How do you address and resolve this issue? Write down your story.
- Imagine that your clone has committed a crime (you can decide the nature of this crime). The police are now searching for you. You are innocent, but your clone messed up. You have to clean up this mess now. Write your story about how you get out of this sticky situation.
- Imagine that you can clone yourself into three different people. All versions will have your body, memory, and intelligence. How would you use this power? Perhaps you would want to live and lead three different lives? You would think of each life as a different path and experiment? If you focus on the same project, you could also triple your learning and experimentation, which would give you enormous leverage. Write down your story: What happens when you triple down on yourself?
- Imagine that there has been a mishap in the cloning machine and you ended up having seven clones. You are a team of 8 now! It is total chaos. What happens next? What do you argue about? Write a funny story.
