Opinions

  • The author posits that humans, like musical instruments, have the capacity to channel a higher consciousness and unconditional love into various creative outlets.
  • Creativity is not confined to auditory art forms; it can be expressed through painting, fashion, architecture, writing, dance, sculpture, pottery, embroidery, and culinary arts.
  • There is an inherent suggestion that allowing the flow of consciousness through oneself without a specific creative goal can be beneficial, implying a spiritual or meditative aspect to this concept.
  • The text implies that this flow can be a source of healing, though it does not specify the nature of the healing.
  • By encouraging the reader to imagine being the instrument rather than the player, the author challenges the conventional view of agency and encourages a perspective of receptivity and openness to the flow of life.

Imagine Being a Musical Instrument

What would you want streaming through you?

Imagine yourself as a musical instrument. Imagine a stream of consciousness and unconditional love flowing from the Source, from All That Is, through the instrument that you are, resulting in beautiful music.

We are all like musical instruments that create music when consciousness flows through us. Of course, we can create in many different ways with that stream of consciousness flowing through us. It does not have to be auditory. We can turn that stream into beautiful visual art. We can create beautiful paintings or beautiful clothes or beautiful buildings or beautiful spaces. We can turn that stream into language and create beautiful stories. With our hands we can turn it into beautiful sculptures or pottery or embroidery. With our bodies we can turn it into beautiful expressions of dance. We can use that stream to create healthy and aromatic food dishes. There are endless possibilities for turning that stream of consciousness/unconditional love flowing through us into wondrous expressions of beauty and joy.

We do not even have to create anything with that stream of pure consciousness/unconditional love flowing through us. We can just allow it to flow through us and simply direct it towards everyone and everything we come into contact with.

By the way, we can also use that stream to heal.

We tend to see ourselves as the player instead of the instrument. Just for fun, imagine being the instrument. What do you want flowing through you?
