Imagine All the Infinite Good of Audio Capabilities on Medium

Ev Williams published an article about Medium’s acquisition of Knowable, an audio-first learning company. Medium intends “to bring audio capabilities to our readers, members, and creators.”

I skimmed the comments section of the article and found mixed opinions. I agree Medium could spend the money it has used for recent acquisitions to pay us more, but what if those acquisitions lead to more earnings for Medium creators?

Let’s imagine all the infinitely good that is now ours because of Medium acquiring Knowable. (Note, the use of the term ‘now’ instead of ‘will have’ or ‘could have.’ I believe in feeling as though you already have it so that you feel from a place of completion rather than a place of lack. What you will/could/should have implies you do not have it; and therefore, you want it. If you have it, you don’t want it; you embrace it. The key is to act, feel, and believe you have it.) So let’s do it!

Imagine audio capabilities in Medium. I see and feel myself typing the words of an article on my computer. My mind energetically crafts creative words and phrases to convey an awesome message to my readers. I feel satisfied with my article as I keenly edit it. I meticulously input the proper story settings and tags.

I see and feel myself pushing a record button, and I read my article out loud. As I read my article, I use the proper pauses, inflections, and emotions to articulate my words the way I wrote them to be read. My voice activates and is so crystal clear.

I listen to the recording. I pause and rerecord a particular part to my greater satisfaction. I complete the editing to perfection.

On my settings page, I publish my written article and its accompanying audio recording. The Medium mystics send my article and recording out over the internet for readers to read and listeners to listen.

My earnings skyrocket! Turns out my audience loves to hear me read my articles! My audience expands to thousands of good people from one article!

Those thousands of people read my other articles. Some comment and ask me to record older articles.

I record my all previously-published articles. It is fun!

My earnings skyrocket more!

I pay all my living expenses with my Medium earnings every month! I have extra money and give gifts to people.

I engage in enlightening discussions in the comments section of Medium articles (mine and others). I leave voice comments on articles that move me. I listen and respond to comments people have left on my articles.

A Medium writer contacts me and asks me to read his/her articles for a fee. Sure!

An external listener contacts me and asks me to collaborate on a project. Sure!

As I do chores around the house or drive around town, I listen to creative, thought-provoking, informative Medium articles. I am full of positivity and inspiration from listening to 5 articles in a 15-minute drive to the store! I learn about cryptocurrency while washing dishes!

I love the audio capabilities that I now have as a top Medium writer. Life is good!
