I’m Tired…
A Free Verse Poem

I’m tired of being at home all the time.
I’m tired of doing dishes and laundry.
I’m tired of having anxiety from going to the grocery story.
I’m tired of longing to do something.
I’m tired of sitting and staring at screens.
I’m tired of all the lost time.
I’m just tired.
This year has forced a lot of people into feeling distance, fear, loss, shame, and most all of the emotional spectrum. As we see hope and restoration on the horizon, let’s not forget where we’ve been, what we’ve lost, and what we’ve gained. Most importantly, let’s not forget that no matter what our experiences, there are always others who have had experiences that were a bit more difficult. Remember to have humility and respect for others in these troubling times, and in all times forward. It will make us all the better for it.
