I’m shamelessly untamed,

don’t I know it

I’m shamelessly untamed,

don’t I know it?

I am now free to do what I want, say, or think.

Having released the weight of shame

that burdened me for so many years -

shame that wasn’t mine to bear.

It held me still, like a deadweight,

dragging me beneath the waves,

holding me down like an anchor

on the seabed of my soul.

But the time had come to change the flow.

Unclogging, unblocking the channels to my chi,

Wanting to be free, wanting my soul to sing,

Wanting to live without the charred embers of

my past or broken dreams.

Sweeping away the dust and debris.

Breaking the chains of shame and constraint

cumulated over the years.

Brushing myself off, lifting my spirits high,

witnessing a better version of myself.

I’m free to embrace the person I choose to be,

liberated by the choices I dared to make.

Finally, at peace with myself,

I gaze lovingly upon the reflection

of the brand new me.

I now choose to live a life of honesty,

transparency and integrity.
