He told me months ago he would pay for me to come to the Philippines to see him and his lovely wife be married and meet all of her family — and there are quite a few of them!

On Christmas Day he booked my flights! I was very impressed. I’m flying with Philippine Airlines and it’s a direct flight from Brisbane to Manila. On June 6 at 10.40 am, I’ll be flying from Brisbane International Airport!

The adventurous couple visiting a Mayon volcano in the Philippines. It last erupted in 2018! I hope they’re not planning on taking me there!

Rowan is usually too busy working to have long chats with me but he always keeps in touch even if I don’t always approve of the countries he visits. He’s a tour operator and as you can imagine, Covid really messed with his business. Maria makes up for him by texting me almost every day especially when I was recovering from knee surgery. She’s lovely.
