I’m Not a Chef, I’m a Culinary Alchemist. Just Don’t Ask me The Chemical Formula For my Creations
What y’all cooking today? What about tomorrow and the day after?
Dear reader, I encourage you to stay on the page for at least 30 seconds, don’t kill writer read ratio.

Ahem! I think you’re used to me writing about various topics, but I generally write about my personal experiences that I like to share with you. And this is one of them. Don’t rush to judgement.
Funny enough, but among my other skills is cooking. I’m not kidding, no, I really cook. At times, people don’t seem to take my love for cooking seriously, even though I genuinely enjoy it and have a skill for it. I possess various qualities, and I don’t intend to brag about it.
What matters is that you don’t have to be an expert to cook tasty food. Cooking is much more than simply preparing food — it’s an art that combines passion, creativity and practical skills to transform simple ingredients into delicious culinary masterpieces. At the end of the day, you have to love what you’re preparing.
Good food starts with a clean plate. And I don’t mean an empty plate, I mean a good looking plate. People eat, people enjoy foods that tickle their taste buds; it’s not like writing about rarely talked topics or something atypical. Food is like sex — we enjoy it whenever we have it and it’s within our reach, so to speak. If you know what I mean.
To me, food represents much more than what I put in my mouth. It embodies a narrative of flavors, the harmony of ingredients, and the art of preparation.
Do you think a woman who looks good, takes care of herself, can’t also make time to cook or take care of her family? Of course she can. She’s a hero, her man is a hero.
Women say men are the best cooks, while men say women are the best cooks. Well, that doesn’t matter. When you put your heart into it, the food really tastes good.
For me it all started as a game. I was little and experimenting with food; I was extremely picky and wanted it cooked a certain way so I could eat it. Otherwise I would throw it in the bin. Of course both grandparents and parents would get upset about this, but I didn’t give them the satisfaction of doing as they wished. Well, rarely…
I used to hang around my grandparents when they cooked food and copy everything they did. It was fun for me, but for them it was exhausting work, they had to gather everything I left behind, clean and put the dishes back where they belonged.
As I reflected over time, I discovered my talent for cooking and creating dishes that nourished my soul. This skill allowed me to not only prepare meals tailored to my taste, but also expand my knowledge of blending diverse flavors like sweet and salty, or spicy and sour.
I cooked according to how I considered and how I felt at that time. I was guided by my senses, my cravings and by the international cuisine. I even combined them as I wanted and came up with something new where I added my personal touch.
I’ve cooked bad food as well as delicious food. The secret is to learn from mistakes — a tip you may have anticipated, maybe that sounds like a cliché. I cook far from perfect, but if right now I crave butter with bread, then that’s what I’m going to eat. What’s wrong with that? I know I still have a lot to learn.
What’s more, the pleasure of cooking also comes from the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands. First of all, cooking gives me the opportunity to connect with the traditions of my country and the people I love. In the kitchen, I can put aside the daily stress, the hustle and bustle and focus on the process of preparing food. And so much more!
And I also do this so I don’t have to spend money all the time in restaurants or order ready-made food. I don’t like to be lazy when it comes to food, because where would the pleasure be if you didn’t prepare the food yourself?
You know, getting your hands dirty, doing the dishes afterwards, vacuuming… Amazing, but every day is different. Maybe one day I don’t feel like cooking, but I still throw some meat and potatoes in the oven. I love to cook absolutely everything, I love Asian, Indian cuisine, so I get inspired most of the time.
I’d love to give up meat and not eat at all. I’ve tried it in the past and felt great eating only legumes, but it’s not that easy to do so. However, you can imagine it would take me forever to write this article and tell you what I usually cook or what I like to eat, but I like diversity.
In the end, it doesn’t matter what culinary choices we make or whether we order the food, it matters that we enjoy it and like it.
So, what else can I tell you? This was a short story, I don’t want to bore you with recipes or what I crave in the evening or in the morning for coffee. But no, not croissant. Ah, and today I chose to make some donuts and burn them on each side, like some girls who stood in the sun for too long. Too tanned!
Thanks for reading,
