I’m Getting Real About Loving and Appreciating my Body

I’ve been a victim of body-shaming since I could remember.

Sadly this shame was brought on mostly by my family, which is even more traumatizing. I even expected it, which made everyday living very uncomfortable.

I would always be on edge because I knew my body was going to be criticized, I just didn't know when. It was so often that I started to do it to myself.

Through the help of professionals, I learned to ask “What if?” What if my family was judged by family members from other generations, and that action has been engraved in their brains?

What if they are self-conscious about their body and they don’t want to be in that pain alone? After I learned how to question, I slowly started to understand that the shaming was not about me at all.

Would you talk badly about your best friend? You wouldn’t, so why would you do that to yourself? I am so happy I stumbled upon this philosophy, because little did I know, that me talking myself down was worse. So I started to treat me as my own best friend. No shame, just support, and love.

The negativity was slowly purged out of me, and no negative thoughts were allowed in. The moment this became my truth, it’s the moment I felt truly happy to be alive. I made space in my being to allow in everything nature had to offer me.

My entire life changed, I walk on this earth truly free. These principles that I created helped me feel peace in my journey on this earth. I learned to appreciate what I and my body are.

I hope this helps you create your inner beauty so you can see how miraculous your body is. Appreciation will follow, my friends.
