I’m Done With You
A Poem About Conquering Fears
I’m done, I’m done, I’m done with you Once I was a quiet fan, I thought you were “the man” But now I see the real you, I’ve looked inside — I’ve locked eyes with you.
I am the he who hides from himself-I thought you wouldn’t see The Fear that lives inside of Me, something else You tried to be.
People see what they want to see.
Once I saw into the darkness and felt the light — We let them in — it felt so right — It was warm — on those cold and frosty nights But those days are gone — You moved back in, took a seat here and began to sing Stick a fork in me, now I’m done —I’m Mr. Blue — The last bell has began to ring.
I’m over and I’m finished I’m through — I’ve seen enough, I know enough — I’ve been through it all with you — I’m done, I’m done, I’m done with you.
You are not real.
You live inside of me, you are nothing but my fears — You’ve done your best to guide me, And I’ve allowed you to bind me — Keeping me scared, and alone — filling me with delusion.
Why was being separate always the best conclusion?
I know now — I’ve taken a look, I went inside, you wanted me to be alone, and all to yourself — now I see you’re nothing but a crook!
There’s actually a difference between you and me — I want to be happy, I want to be free —
You are nothing, you aren’t true, I know now, I can get rid of you.
You are my sadness, my abandonment, my trust broken, my abused body, my cracked heart — my hurt past. Complicated and allusive, I wanted pushed away — but I now know — you are nothing but my illusions.
You wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for me. I have given you all of my power — you thought you were The King! You’ve given me nothing — nothing but doom.
Now it’s time for me to conquer you — That high tower you are in is about to go boom.
You’ve taken over me and my life one too many times or two, and I’m finally sick and tired of you.
Finally it has come to the hour — I’ve decided-MY FEARS-it’s your world that will shatter!
Recently I witnessed someone overcome a great fear. I was grateful to be a part of the experience. I was with her every step of the way, and I knew she would conquer what had held her back for so long, keeping her from enjoying a full life.
We talked about how fears always seem bigger than they really are. We build up things in our mind, fulled by our fears wanting to keep us from experiencing life.
They hold so much power over us, and many people have many fears — they add up causing general anxiety, stress, depression, separation from the world, chronic physical and energetic illnesses and suicide.
Once we decide to step up and fight for our freedom from whatever that fear is, from whatever is holding us back from experiencing a full and happy, blissful and thriving life — we see that we actually have the power, we are actually the ones in control, and we get to decide if we give up that power and control.
We can eradicate negative energy and fears from our systems.
Decide to delete the programs that must be removed — no matter what chaos and craziness is going on in the world — YOU GET TO DECIDE where your power goes.
