I started DoorDash in college because I needed the extra money. I still dash every now and then to pick up some extra cash when I need it. The pay is pretty decent and you get to drive around and jam out. It’s a win win. Right now is the perfect time to start dashing. Gas is cheap and everyone is ordering delivery. The tips are an added bonus! If you want to go all out, you can easily make a living with DoorDash! I’m 22 And Have 10 Income Streams

Because one side hustle just isn’t enough

Photo by Alexander Mils on Unsplash

I knew going into my line of work that I would never have just one income stream. Honestly, the thought of only having one scares me. Even though I currently have a full time job, I still make sure my side hustles are going strong. My goal is to one day be my own boss. If I’m not working towards that every day until then, I’ll never get there.

This isn’t an article telling you the secrets to getting rich quick. This is just a list of ways I make a few bucks here and there. Sometimes more, sometimes less. When you’re 22 and living alone, every penny counts. If you’re 60 and living with a family…every penny still counts!

So, here’s a list of all the ways I bring in some extra cash.

1. Social Media Manager

This guy is my full time gig. The 9–5 job that gets the bills paid. Don’t get me wrong, I love what what I do. Sometimes I just wish I was the one calling the shots. We’ll get there some day.

2. Gigs

I’m a musician. Singer/Songwriter to be exact. Playing at bars and restaurants is a fun way to bring in the extra money. Some are better paying than others but there will always be tips! I’m not going to lie, getting a gig booked is no easy feat but once you get yourself out there, you’ll have a lineup in no time. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself to management at bars! You never know what might come of it.

3. Freelance Work

Us creatives tend to have a whole bag full of tricks. I’m not perfect at anything but I’m pretty good at a lot of things. Social Media and Photography are two ways I’m able to get some freelance work in.

4. DoorDash

OK, hear me out. They also offer benefits packages if you decide to go the full time route.

5. Medium

I started on Medium pretty recently so my income isn’t anything substantial yet. However, I can totally see it getting there. I’ve made about $5 so far the first month. If I stay consistent with it, I think this platform will be a great way to grow my income. At the end of the day, I’ve always loved writing so it’s an added bonus to make some cash from it as well.

6. Juice Plus+

It almost pains me to say this because I have never been a fan of MLMs. However, I jumped on the bandwagon with this one because I was in desperate need of something to help my allergies. I’m not talking a cough and sniffle either. I had 7 years of allergy shots, surgery, and medications. Still terrible. I tried Juice Plus before having to do a second round of shots. My allergies are basically a thing of the past now. These guys help your entire immune system. If you’re interested, check them out! If not, keep on reading. I didn't think I’d ever make money off of it but with a product this good, it kinda sells itself.

7. ThredUp

I love shopping a little too much. When I buy something new, I try to get rid of something from my closet. Sometimes I donate it but if it’s a nice item, why not get some money back for it! ThredUp is the perfect way to do this. They send you a prelabeled bag in the mail, you fill it up, they pick the items they want, and send you money! One time I made over $60 from one bag! The items they don’t take can either be shipped back to you or recycled. If they take your items, they sell them online — a virtual, high-end, thrift store!

8. Rakuten

Better known as Ebates. Connect your cards to this app and get cash back in stores and online. I’m a sucker for cash back and this app is my favorite for it. You can even add an extension on to your browser so you never miss a deal.

9. Dosh

Another cash back favorite! Similar to Rakuten, all you have to do is connect your cards. I’ve already made over $50 with this app.

I filled up last week and saved 20 cents on each gallon! I got $6 cash back from my first purchase. It’s simple and silly not to take advantage of.
