POETRY PROMPT: A PERSONALLY MEANINGFUL NON-ENGLISH WORD
Ilm
An acrostic poem

Illuminating
Learning
Manifested through the acquisition of knowledge.
Ilm: Arabic roots and used in the Urdu language, as well: acquiring knowledge about the universe with logical reasoning and critical thinking. Thus, Ilm is not restricted to one subject, profession, or expertise: rather an encompassing term including absorption of facts, information, skills, theoretical frameworks, and education. The path from ignorance to truth is only paved through knowledge. *
