Verses of gratitude

Hello beautiful souls,

To answer the gratitude challenge from the Soul Magazine editor team, I am presenting a poem inspired by my favorite Bible verses:

John 14:6 (NIV): “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

Matthew 6:22 (NIV): “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.”

Illumined by Grace

In the whispers of dawn and the hush of night, I find my heart cradled in Your divine light. Through paths untrodden and seas uncharted, Your love, a beacon, never departed.

Your words, O Lord, a guiding star in my sky, John proclaimed Your truth, never to deny. In You, the way, the truth, the life I see, A journey of faith, where my soul finds glee.

Matthew’s wisdom, a lamp unto my feet, In Your light, every challenge I meet. For when the eye is sound, the body aglow, In Your grace, O Lord, my spirit does grow.

In the tapestry of life, through joy and strife, Your love, the thread weaving the quilt of life. My children, echoes of Your boundless grace, In their laughter, Your presence I embrace.
