I don’t accumulate things.

And I don’t save things.

But there is one thing I wish I had saved.

When I was a teenager my greatest-in-the-world mother showed me something I had written. A complete book at age seven!

It was about 5x7 and bound just like a real book.

And I’d illustrated it, too!

It was titled “Pond Scum”.

And as you might guess, it was a little book about . . . pond scum.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember what I wrote about pond scum, but I’m sure it was fascinating.

And probably the best thing I’ve ever written.
