Illuminate Me
A Mental Health Poem

Illuminate me, O Golden God, The glowing ball, Bestowing life upon us.
Your one ray provides, Life to thousands of, Us beings, You give us life.
But, sometimes, Just sometimes, By happenstance, We forget your light.
Not by the virtue of night, That befalls upon us, Every single day, But the worries of the world.
In times like these, Oh, Sun! Illuminate me, Illuminate me!
Illuminate me, Show me the light, In the world, That is a gift from you.
Illuminate me, Show me the happiness, That this sad world, Holds dear in its heart.
Illuminate me, To make me feel alive, Again from this melancholy, This madness of mundane.
Illuminate me, To dance among, The dreadful moments, That this life has to offer.
Illuminate me, To breathe with, Heartfelt gratitude, Towards everything everyday.
