If you’re gonna do drop shipping, you need a unique marketing strategy.

Let’s face it: there are a million other drop shippers saturated within your niche, and they own your niches TikTok and Facebook ads.

Instead of listening to the god awful “guru” advice on YouTube, and copy everything they do, why don’t we try some originality?

(I can’t believe originality is something I have to preach to people who sell and market all day)

Here are 3 great ways to switch up your marketing to the unbeaten path:

1. Affiliate program

It is actually extremely simple to start an affiliate program on Shopify. I recommend using a free app called GoaffPro. It’s great, and free for life.

Now that we have software taken care of, what is an affiliate program, and how does it benefit your business? An affiliate program is essentially where you pay people a commission on any sales they bring in for your products. This will encourage people to share and actively market your products, and the cost is nothing but a small fraction of the money they made you.

2. Organic traffic

I have never seen a drop shipped product with a blog to be honest. Why?! Blogs are the ultimate way to bring in free traffic. If you write posts answering commonly asked questions, your blog can rank in google and refer people to your products.

3. Word of mouth

I understand it’s kind of hard to get people to talk about a drop shipping product and refer it to friends, but that being said; it is NOT impossible.

You're going to need to make everything from your initial website experience to your product experience 10/10, if you plan to generate word of mouth.

You can ask past customers for referrals or create some sort of system where friends are encouraged to be invited.
