If you Want to Re-Invent your Life, Try Saying These 11 Phrases
A List to Use Every Day
When I was a child, all I knew was that there were words being spoken all around me, and I had to learn them. If I was going to identify and be identified by other people, I would have to learn to use appropriate words to describe myself and who I was. So, it has me wondering. If words are meant to describe us, doesn’t it mean that they also decide who we are?
Words are spoken, so they are sounds. Sounds are known as vibrations, which in turn indicate waves of energy. If energy is responsible for shaping who we are, then each word must come with its own energy. We, as we speak, have the power to generate energy through the words we choose to utter, especially to ourselves, on a daily basis. And if we are careful to acknowledge the fact that energy attracts energy, then we are sure to notice a shift in the situations, events and people we attract into our lives.
“Energy attracts energy.”
It is no coincidence that good things happen to us when we’re feeling good. Personally, I have always received good news when I was feeling and vibrating positive energy. My body, and my surroundings, gradually reflected the words I would say to myself. Ever since discovering this connection, I have promised myself to prioritize optimistic thoughts.
Below, I have made a list which I hope you will meet at a time when you’ve been searching for a sign to tell you that you are in charge of your life, and not vice versa, through the words that you choose to speak, or think.
#1. I can
It is always a battle between “can” and “can’t,” “able,” and “not able.” Once we replace the word “can’t” with “can,” we are allowing ourselves to focus on the other half of the coin, the part that we think we shouldn’t see because of fear and doubt. By saying the word “can” when it comes to deciding whether to accomplish something, we are directing more attention to the possibility of doing something, and so guiding ourselves to the position of actually doing it — seeing our vision come to life.
#2. I am great
When someone asks you how you are doing, replace “I’m fine” — a generic answer that the majority of people have accepted as the standard response — with “I am great.” By verbalizing that sentiment, you are essentially tricking yourself into feeling better than simply “good,” causing a shift to positive energy. You embody the energy you reflect.
#3. I have
If I focus on the phrase, “I want,” what I am most usually faced with is a lack of that thing that I seek. I may be blessed with what I have already, but the word “want” makes me erase all contact with them, focusing solely on the fact that I am missing something. But we have what we know we have.
Think about it. What we already have — our life as a whole — exists because we are aware that it exists. If we make ourselves aware of the thing that we desire to manifest, feeling as though we already have it, it will realize into our lives without warning. Try it.
#4. I will
Replacing the term “If only…” with “I will,” we are subconsciously cancelling any distractions that come our way, telling us that we need a certain opportunity or event to allow us to pursue what we are seeking. We make a declaration to the universe, who speaks and the language of energy, prompting it to deliver to us precisely what we “know,” we have already.
#5. I expect it
Using this phrase instead of “I doubt it” will automatically place you in the position that you see yourself in. Knowing that you are already surrounded by a positive, loving and stable environment will instill within you the sentiment of being just that, which attracts the outcome you are certain you possess.
#6. I will do it
Try to replace “I will try to do it” with “I will do it” even when all odds seem to be against you. When you infiltrate your mind with the certainty that the thing you are looking to accomplish will be accomplished, you convince yourself of having no choice but to see its accomplishment realize into your life; whatever it takes.
#7. I know
When I tell myself that I know of something instead of a simple “I don’t know,” I encourage myself to seek just why I know it, and my answer usually presents itself before I know it. See what I did there? The answer has always been there; simply asking for us to acknowledge it.
#8. I create time
Time is a struggle most of us will experience, easily convincing us that we may not have enough of it. In actuality, when I came to understand that I am allowed to make time for what I truly care about, I realized that time is not linear, but the past, present and future are interlinked. Our power is in the only time we’ve ever had: the now. Manifesting the time we need to invest in what we seek will eventually lead us to manifesting that thing.
#9. Definitely
This is the only word, rather than phrase, in this list. But I like to think that when we replace the uncertain “maybe” with the certain “definitely,” we are persuading ourselves that we know what path we are on because we told ourselves so. We know that the outcome is definite.
#10. I am confident
Much like everyone else, I cannot tell you how many times I’ve felt anxious or nervous, unsure of a particular outcome. What I found is that when we expect an awry turn of events, that’s what will experience. But when we prep ourselves for the best possible turnout, our mindset cannot but face that reality unfolding before us. We ought to be confident in ourselves, and in the result we are attracting into our lives.
#11. It is possible
As many times as it has been preached, even the word “impossible” consists of the words “I’m” and “Possible.” If we are convinced that an action is difficult or undo-able, we are informing our subconscious that it shouldn’t even bother thinking about taking it, making us immobile and unwilling to commit to our goal.
Once we scrap that word from our dictionary and replace it with “it’s possible,” we are quick to see that even the most challenging situations we thought we would never be able to overcome, are actually a lot simpler and only waiting for us to give them a chance.
The Takeaway
Words are spells, so we need to perform them wisely. When we become conscious of the words that we speak and the energy they reflect back to us, we become aware of our potential to craft the lives we feel we deserve. Let’s be careful about the words we decide to speak, most importantly to ourselves, as they are the backbone of the life we have the power to construct.
