If You Want to Make Money On Medium, You Need to Do This… A Lot
No, this isn’t another article about how you need to write every day.
This is an article about something a lot of people may not like to hear.
To be successful as a creator on Medium, you’re going to have to repeat yourself. A lot.
Have you noticed that a lot of people earning good money on the platform write about some of the same things over and over and over and over?
That’s how content creation works.
Writers like Bin Jiang, Carl Jeffers, JaffaBranding, and others like them, who have gone from zero followers to substantial audience and from zero dollars to decent money, all have repetition in common.
To constantly write new articles every day and quickly gain momentum, repeating yourself is unavoidable.
Repetitive Doesn’t Mean Boring
But repeating yourself doesn’t mean you have to sound like a drone.
Even if you’re writing about the same handful of subjects repeatedly, infusing your writing style and personal experiences into it affords variety even when the same topics that keep coming up.
There’s also several angles to look at something from.
You can write about one thing ten different ways (or more).
If you look hard enough and write long enough, you will find a way to say what you need to say in a way that retains the interest of the reader.
Don’t be afraid to repeat yourself. Don’t feel like you’re not providing value because it’s nothing new. If you’re a content creator looking to make money here, you’ll have to do it.
Thank You
