If You Want To Be Happy, Do This At Least Once A Week
You will be surprised to see the results
Happiness is probably the most prized possession in today’s world. The richest people in the world are those who are happy.
Most people are unhappy in life because they neglect the most important part of human life — “Relationships”.
According to the larger study on happiness,
Good relationships with people are the single most important thing for happiness.
That’s why I invest significant time to build close relationships with people. I try to hang out with people outside work as much as I can.
When I am having good relationships with people, I am satisfied with my life and I exceed in my professional life.
To build close relationships and to be happy in life, do this at least once a week:
Have a 2–3 hour long dinner with friends and/or family
As Tim Ferriss said,
“Slow Meal = Life”
Try to find a time in a week to have a long dinner with friends and family. It does not have to be dinner. You can go out with friends for drinks. Or you can go for a long walk. You can also do activities like hiking and playing golf.
Whatever you do, make sure you have time to interact with people. For example, watching a movie does not fall under this category because you are not talking much.
I try to go out with my friends on Friday or Saturday night. I usually avoid hanging out on Sundays because I prepare the following week on Sundays. You can pick whatever time suits your schedule.
One more important thing:
Avoid using the phone during that time. You should give your undivided attention to the people you love. That’s how you create everlasting relationships.
Start doing from this week if you have not done that. Call your friends/family, make plans, and go out.
