If you love punk, you will love this FREE punk festival in Incheon, South Korea

Get ready to rock out at the awesome punk music festival called IT’S A FEST! (IAF) happening at Hanagae Beach on Incheon’s Muui Island, near Incheon International Airport.

It’s been a long wait, but after 4 years, IAF is finally making a comeback.

The festival had plans for 2020, but unfortunately, it got canceled.

They tried again in 2021, but kept it under wraps, hoping the pandemic situation would improve.

Moses and his wife Trash, who run the local punk label World Domination, Inc., patiently waited for the right moment.

And it’s finally here.

This year’s event is going to be epic, featuring 19 bands over three days from 16–18 June 2023.

The legendary Korean punk band Crying Nut will be there, stealing the show.

But that’s not all!

You can also catch the awesome “Kraken roll” one-man band Octopoulpe, the Japanese skatepunk band Green Eyed Monster, and the Malaysian emo-punk band Social Circuit.

While many of the Korean bands play pop-punk and ska-punk, you will also have the chance to groove to the reggae beats of Shin Hantae & Reggae Soul.

And if you’re into hardcore punk, get ready for End These Days, Chain Reaction, and Polluter.

Lastly, don’t miss the intense garage-grunge-punk sounds of Beacon.

The best part?

It’s completely FREE to attend!

Although the organizers hoped for support from the local government, IAF is a DIY event, relying on the local scene and personal connections.

To cover the festival’s expenses, the organizers have been selling beach bungalow reservations and merchandise.
