If You Have A Computer, This Hack Will Save You Money
How I am saving money with these items for a desktop computer
When I first got my Apple desktop computer a few years ago, I was floored. My desktop computer was elegant and a sight to behold. Part of the appeal was that almost everything was wireless, from the mouse to the keyboard.
The development of wireless accessories made the use of long cables no longer necessary, and in the beginning, I was widely enthusiastic about the features of my new desktop computer. I needed a desktop computer for multitasking and doing different projects and these devices are also easy on the eye.
However, after using my computer for a few weeks, it got annoying to get regular messages that my batteries on my keyboard and mouse were running low. I made constant trips to the store to ensure that I had a running supply of batteries for my devices.
Batteries are not cheap, either! And despite the battery company promising long-lasting use for my devices, I still got regular messages that I had to insert new batteries. It was plain annoying.
I thought to myself some serious questions. What if I had an urgent project that I needed to do for an online client and the devices were failing because I needed new batteries? Who wants to go out to buy batteries in the middle of a snowstorm? My mind sometimes thinks of worst-case scenarios, and I like to think ahead.
I came to the quick decision that the old way of doing things would save me money and headache. I decided to buy some wired accessories for my computer. Having a USB-connected keyboard and USB-connected mouse would save me from buying batteries again.
After making a quick trip to my local electronics store, I was told the store didn’t have any wired computer accessories. Everything sold at the store was all wireless. Good for battery companies.
Every store that I checked didn’t have any wired accessories. I even went to a used computer store to see if I could buy these items at second-hand prices. None.
I got lucky when I decided to use Amazon to buy these hard-to-find wired accessories. I have used them for a few weeks now, and I can report that I am happy with my purchases.
These wired devices will save you from buying batteries in the future. It’s an easy switch and will help the environment, too.
If you are looking to buy a desktop computer in the near future, keep in mind that you may have no choice but to take home the wireless accessories. If you do a little digging, you may still be able to find inexpensive wired accessories by looking online, or at Facebook marketplace.
I don’t care if the USB cords attached to the keyboard and mouse look messy and could get tangled up. This small inconvenience is nothing to me.
That’s all today.
