If you’re like me, one of your traits is wanting to spend time alone and forgetting to give any heads up to that friend or romantic partner you were initially communicating with. Making the other person feel disrespected.
But Shanti C K Just opened my eyes to something that we can all implement. Though it’s a medium tactic, but its something we can consider using when we need time off in our everyday relationships.

Before we talk about prompts to navigate our everyday lives, let’s talk about how they concern our medium engagement.
Many Medium writers are ex-convicts. Of course, they won’t write it on their bio but they talk about it in their posts.

First, I was confused. Who creates a list and names it Medium Comment Jail? till I opened it and understood, it’s how things work around here. The real OGs (like Martynas Ki. (@strangecash), Alessio Michesi, and Mike Sansone) probably won’t be surprised.

Having handy prompts saved in the keyboard database or in a notepad that you can copy and paste to friends or romantic partners — letting them know:
“hey, I’m doing jail time. I can’t talk right now”
kidding.
“Hey, I need a bit of alone time to recharge right now because my mouth stinks. Let’s catch up later when I’m feeling more in the groove. I hope you understand?”
Obviously “my mouth stinks right now” is a joke but do you get the point?
Instead of ghosting them, let the prompt do the talking.
And if they take that the wrong way — you’re better off not being with such a person anyway. ️️🤷🏽♂️
