Congratulations! You’ve survived the godforsaken year 2020

Yes, I can assume that many things went wrong in your life last year— your business went down, you lost your job, you experienced sadness and depression, your near ones died, — you didn’t see your family and friends for a longer time.

Maybe your faith in God and humanity both got shaken to witness such a parade of death worldwide and the nonsense talk of world leaders at the same time.

Possibly you experienced how devastating loneliness can turn out to be. Your idea of home-office changed a lot too, and now you hate your home being your office. Your school going little children suffered the most. You became mentally sick to see them confined at home. And you realized how painful it is to live like a bird in a cage amid all this craziness, hunger, crisis, and death.

Maybe you took a bank loan and started your travel business in 2020 with a lot of expectations, but now you are broke and don’t know what to do next as the pandemic knocked you down.

Possibly, your relationship with your partner became unsound in those hard times, and you ended up being lonely. Maybe, your pet died too, and you cried night after night. Now, you have no one to get attached to.

Maybe the year 2020 changed your life upside down and your entire world got shattered by the tsunami of cruel reality. Maybe your friends showed their true-color and left you alone. You got no one to talk to, and now you are starting to hate your life.

Maybe you discovered your passion for writing during those locked down confinement but found no one interested to appreciate what you offer. Maybe your plan for 2020 failed so miserably that when you recall the past days, you only see the nightmares, sorrows, and failures.

The year 2020 gave you pain, anger, loneliness, monotony, and fear of death. But as you are reading this, you are not dead yet. And as long as you are alive, you have hope.

Think about it. So far, 1,822,284 people have died of Covid-19. And the number is increasing every second. But the good thing is — you are still alive with a functioning body and mind. Isn’t it a miracle?

So, my friend, don’t lose hope. Be optimistic. You will definitely overcome the obstacles. No matter how difficult it seems— you can do it. Just hang on. This dead-time shall pass too.

What’s waiting on the next page?

Nobody knows what is waiting on the next page of life. No one can tell you what will happen in your life in the future. And it’s completely okay. As we do not predict the future, we can be optimistic about it. We can plan it in a better way to avoid the mistakes we made in the past.

What is done is done. Don’t be disappointed about that. Keep your eyes on the future and do your best at this moment and leave out all the rest.

Time will heal your wound, and the future generation will remember you as a fighter of your time.

This si-fi unreal time will end soon. Your deep-cuts will only leave some scars of glory — nothing else. But remember the teaching of the godforsaken year of 2020. Remember, the most significant thing is life itself. And nothing else really matters.

So, do your best to stay safe and healthy. Keep living and trying to make the best out of it. Be hopeful and optimistic about the coming days.

Have an eventful and happy new year!

Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. — Stephen King
