If You Are Seeing Signs Everywhere, Pay Attention!

Look out for messages

I am not religious. I don’t consider myself to be spiritual in any way (or am I?). But, I believe that everything happens for a reason. When something unusual happens, or I see something repeatedly, it feels like a message. A sign. Perhaps I should pay attention.

For example, a single rabbit has been visiting our garden at night over the last few weeks. This could be a normal thing. Wild rabbits are not uncommon. But, a lone wild rabbit repeatedly visiting a specific address in a well-populated housing estate is.

Rabbits remind us of our vulnerability but at the same time of the strength that we have inside ourselves when danger and tough moments come.

The common theme about rabbit sightings is that most cultures (and my search results) believe them to be good luck; a symbol of courage and inner strength, and a sign of abundance or fertility. As I already have a family and don’t expect to have any more children, my interpretation of fertility is less literal. From the fertile ground, life can grow. What would I like to grow?

Then there was the time I was talking to a friend on the phone. I heard two beeps. I looked at my phone and I had pressed the number 5 twice. 55. I turned on the television and Channel 5 was on. There were two 5s on the screen. Of course I headed to Google.

Angel number 55 means a change is coming and that change is one that will be associated with adventures, freedom, self-determination, creativity, and divine energy. These are all the elements that are also associated with the single-digit angel number 5 — a strong signifier of change. As the meaning of angel number 55 doubles that digit, you can also expect it to double that energy. In this way, your guardian angels are beaming powerful messages down to grab your attention and help you to prep for this exciting life phase.

The thought of angels makes me cringe. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to belittle anyone else’s beliefs but I just don’t feel comfortable with it. However, I do believe in signs. Something random. Or, in my case, a few seemingly random occurrences which all apparently have the same meaning:

Change

Creativity

Freedom

Abundance

The last unusual thing I encountered in those few days was a dream. I never remember dreams so when I wake up and recall one, I pay attention. Perhaps it was because this particular one was so terrifying. I dreamt about a huge flying spider. A massive spider on its own would be scary enough, but one that can also FLY and therefore be everywhere and is inescapable — yikes!

This website gives a variety of possible meanings for flying spiders but this particular one struck a chord because it fits so well with the other signs:

Transformation: Finally, some people interpret flying spider dreams as a symbol of transformation or change. Just like a spider molts its skin to become something new and improved, dreaming of flying spiders may indicate that you are undergoing a transformation and becoming something greater than you were before.

Transformation = change.

There’s that word again.

And now for my interpretation of it all. Change is natural. Change happens all the time. Some things are out of our control. We have to accept things change. But, these signs point to something bigger. The points that resonated with me were:

Overcome fear

Embrace abundance

Adventure

Freedom

Creativity

Transformation

I am already transforming. Over the last few years, I have consciously changed a lot in my life. I am fitter and healthier than I have ever been through running, eating well, ditching alcohol, and working a less stressful job in an environment that better aligns with my interests. Not only have I physically transformed but I have reaped the mental rewards. I feel calmer and confident. However, I know there is still work to do. I have wanted to write for a long time. Fear of judgement held me back. There’s a time I would never have dared to post stories on Medium for fear of anyone I know reading them and tearing them to shreds. I cared too much about what others thought of me, or what I thought other people thought of me. But that has changed. I think these signs are telling me to keep going, to keep creating, and to keep sharing my words. I think it’s a reassurance that I can continue to change and become a better version of the person I am today. I cannot give up.

My ultimate goal is freedom of time and freedom of money.

The only way this will be possible is if I keep going. Push harder. Be stronger. Reap those rewards. Keep transforming.

Whatever you believe, perhaps you should pay attention to signs. What is it you need to know? What is the message you should be receiving?

Open your eyes.

The message is there. Listen to it.
