If You Are Looking For a Sign, This is It
Time waits for no one
I’m serious. Whatever has been eating away at you, begging to be recognized, to be heard. Now is the time.
It’s a message I, and probably you, have heard again and again.
But the universe SHOUTED at me today.
So I’m going to share it with you as well.
Maybe it was all the Contest entries that I read today. So many heartbreaking stories. So many inspiring stories. So many life-changing stories.
Maybe it was just my time to hear it.
So here’s my question to you:
Why not? Why aren’t you embracing this side of you yet? Why aren’t you pursuing your passions? They’re shouting in your head every day anyways. Just do it already.
So whatever that little voice has been nagging at you to do.
Whether it’s writing that novel, painting that masterpiece, designing that perfect creation, writing to someone, looking for a new job….
Whatever it is, clearly you need to do it. Clearly, enough is enough.
I know, I know. Believe me, I know. There are a million, completely valid reasons why you haven’t done it yet.
But maybe, just maybe, you should find a way to scratch that itch in even the smallest way.
Do your passion, whatever it is, and share it with the world. Break yourself free from toxic arenas. Listen to that little voice.
Whether it’s your own repressed self or the universe trying to guide you, they are telling you this for a reason and it is worth listening to.
If you’re worried about what others will think, someone will connect. Someone will resonate with what you have to share with the world. They will see your value.
But you have to put it out there.
In today’s day and age, it is so easy to share your passion and beautiful art with the world, in whatever form that takes for you. So do it.
It may not immediately bring in money and that’s okay. It may never make you a millionaire. That’s okay.
But if that voice inside of you is begging you to do it, there’s a reason. It will help you in some way, shape, or form. Even if it just helps you cope with the craziness of your current life.
You don’t have to write that novel or paint that masterpiece tonight but start it. Or start writing something or painting something. Doing some little thing on whatever it is that you are feeling called to do.
You certainly won’t complete it if you don’t try. And all those little things will add up. Your skills will grow. Your confidence will increase. People will start to see your work, helping your audience to grow, and your chances at “going big” (in whatever way that looks like for you) will increase.
As the somewhat awkward saying goes, you eat an elephant one bite at a time.
So please, one creator to another. Work on your art. Work on what you are being called to do. The world deserves what you can provide. The world wants to see it. The world will be better for it. The world is big enough for all of us.
