If They Ever Landed, What Would You Ask Them?

Here’s a list you can consider.

I know this is out of the ordinary for me to write, but then I thought to myself, what's there to loose. Why not write something different for a change?

I watched the video below, and thought of making a story around it. It actually inspired me. Wouldn't it be interesting if they actually landed? (Should they be an extraterrestrial race, that is).

Let's say they just landed. What would your reaction be?

What would you ask them? Here are my ideas:

So firstly, I’d get the basics out of the way:

Who, What, Why, Where, When and how (Something I learnt in my police training course).

  • What did you come for
  • Why have you come here?
  • How have you come here?
  • When did you get here?
  • When do you plan to leave and will you leave empty-handed?
  • Is there anyone with you?

Some other questions that came to mind.

  • What are your intentions?
  • What's your preferred mode of communication?
  • Have you come to give or take?
  • What’s your name and how do you spell it?
  • Are you safe or under threat?
  • Can you sketch the universe according to how you see it?
  • Tell me about your world
  • What are your opinions of our earth? (Be honest).
  • What problems does your world currently face, have you thought of a solution? Are you open to a second opinion?
  • What are your future plans as a race? Is there a chance for us to play a part in that?
  • What are your immediate needs?
  • What does collaboration look like to you?

I could go on and on listing questions after question.

It just goes to show How much we can learn from something so different and foreign to us.

I'm also sure that their presence would contradict a lot of our beliefs.

I'm almost certain that enquiry would help us evolve in some way. Of course, that would depend on their intention. They could destroy us in a heart beat for all we know.

With all that said, I’d be excited if anything. Even though it would involve me stepping out of my comfort zone into the unknown, I know that.

learning comes with putting ourselves out there and being vulnerable.

I highly doubt that they'll arrive any time soon, if they will at all. Hopefully, the above points can get you thinking.

Id love to know your thoughts? Do you think they'll communicate? If so, what would you want to know and how would you react?

So the next time you see something oddly shaped in the sky, you got a bank of questions at the ready.

Thank you for being here and reading.
