If The Pains Of This World Tire You, Do Not Grieve — For It May Be That Allah Wishes To Hear Your Voice By Way Of Dua'a:

Allah loves to be asked, and He encourages that in all things — He is angry with the one who does not ask of Him and He encourages His slaves to ask of Him.

Allah says:“And your Lord said: “Invoke Me [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism) and ask Me For anything] I will respond to your (invocation).” (Surah Ghafir — 40:60)

Du’a is very important in Islam , so much so that — the Prophet (saw) said: “Du’a is worship.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3372; Abu Dawud, 1479)

Allah has also promised that as long as we are not hasty, He will answer our du`a’. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: “The du`a’ of any worshiper will continue to be responded to as long as he does not ask For a sin or breaking the ties of kinship, and as long as he is not hasty.”

He was then asked what being hasty meant, and he replied, “A worshipper says ‘I have prayed and prayed, and I don’t see that it will be accepted,’ so he gives up hope of being answered and leaves du`a’.’”

A part of the test is — when a Believer supplicates and receives no response, and he repeats the dua For a long time and sees no sign of a response. He should realize that this is a test and needs patience.

If a person experience waswaas (whispers From shaytan) when the response is delayed is a sickness which needs medicine.

Sometimes when our hearts are deeply attached to something, we cannot see any reason why we shouldn’t have that thing—yet in reality it is not what is best For us.

Allah says in the Qur’an:“But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good For you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad For you. And Allah Knows, while you know not.” (2:216)

To not have a du`a’ answered could, in Fact, be one of the biggest blessings. Allah will give us that which we need, not simply that which we want.

So,the point is that — we should never be disappointed with our Lord by being overwhelmed by the problems of this world. Good deeds and dua are the means of getting closer to our Lord. So, always be hopeful of your Lord.

May Allah(swt) make us Trust in Him and Obey Him. (Ameen).
