If nothing changes externally then likely nothing has changed internally.
Salvation is an internal change in one’s life that creates an external change in the believer’s behavior.

A Biblical Christian worldview perspective — When saved, the Holy Spirit comes to live within us (Rom. 8:9) and we become a “new creation in Christ” (2 Cor. 5:17). Internal repentance and desire for the Lord should result in a change in our external behavior (Eph. 4:20:24). Further, the order of change is critical to a Biblical Christian worldview (Matthew 3:8). The internal change comes before the external. If the other way around, it is a false form of carnal Christianity, and, if there is no change, there is no salvation.
