If Love Had a Voice It Would Say
All the words that say “love” without actually saying, LOVE.

I thought about this the other day when I was out on what was going to be a long run, and I suddenly thought, “I’m going to go home and spend some time with my lovely forever girlfriend instead.”
So, this is one guy’s lame attempt to impress his forever girlfriend of thirty-seven years (in some circles these lovely creatures are known as wives) with what love would sound like if it had a voice.
Here goes nothing!
Nobody actually likes making the bed in the morning. Somehow, when you both get home in the evening, the bed is made and those fru-fru pillows are even on it.
You get a text in the middle of the run, “GO TEAM!!” with cheer emojis even though you know your significant other really doesn’t understand why anybody would want to voluntarily run.
The dishwasher is empty and the dishes are all in their correct place.
The kitchen counter is cleaned off, the dishwasher got filled, and the dirty dishes are being washed.
After a long hard day at work, a glass of wine mysteriously appears in your hand.
The bills got paid and nobody had to brag about getting that done, and the checking account still has enough money in it to play a little.
Your significant other “lets” you buy another pair of running shoes.
A romantic weekend ends up being a weekend spent snuggling at the house and pretending you’re out of town.
You both put your phones away for an afternoon or evening and spend time talking about everything and nothing at all.
The one who never really learned how to cook suddenly begins to cook fabulous dinners because they get off work earlier and can have a hot, nutritious dinner prepared when the other one gets home.
You ask your significant other for advice on something, even though you know they probably won’t know. It’s just a respect thing.
You’ve been itching to go for a run in the mountains even though it’s a four-hour drive away, and your loved one says, “Go for a run in the mountains this weekend. You’ll enjoy it and be more at peace.”
That last one comes on your anniversary weekend and you know you’re thoroughly loved because that speaks volumes.
It’s always awesome to hear, “I love you!”
However, the little things you do for each other show your love way more than words ever can.
Happy Anniversary! Я люблю тебя, моя любимая ящерица!
